Configuring the Dell PowerVault MD3000i storage
1. On a system managing the Dell PowerVault MD3000i, click StartÆModular Disk Storage Manager Client.
2. Select Automatic, and click OK.
3. Click Synchronize.
4. Click Close.
5. Check the Do not show this again for this storage array checkbox, and click Close.
6. Select the Configure tab.
7. Click Create Disk Groups and Virtual Disks.
8. Click OK.
9. Select SATA, and click Next.
10. Name the Disk Group OS and click Next.
11. Select RAID level RAID 1/10.
12. Set the number of Physical Disks to 4, and click Finish.
13. Click Yes.
14. Name the Virtual Disk OS and click Next.
15. Click Finish.
16. Click No.
17. Click Next.
18. Name the Disk Group Exchange and click Next.
19. Select RAID level RAID 1/10.
20. Set the number of Physical Disks to 4, select Database, and click Next.
21. Click Yes.
22. Name the Virtual Disk Database, and click Next.
23. Click Finish.
24. Click No.
25. Name the Disk Group SQL and click Next.
26. Select RAID level RAID 1/10.
27. Set the number of Physical Disks to 4, select Database, and click Next.
28. Click Yes.
