The following tools are available to update your storage system firmware: • Dell OpenManage™ Array Manager — System management software, running in supported operating system environments.

DUPs provide an easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI) that enables you to apply a software update to either a single system or, remotely, to multiple systems using your organization’s software distribution tools.

When the update completes, a message appears indicating that the update was successful. 7 Restart I/O activity to the storage system.

For example: tar -zxvf pv22xAxx.gz 7 Change the file permissions for the extracted .exe file.

For example, in the command prompt, type the following and then press : tar -zxvf pv22xLxx.gz Included in the extracted files are an .exe utility file and a .bin firmware file.

Each EMM must be updated from the host system that is attached to it. Array Manager displays the correct firmware version for the EMM to which it is connected, but may continue to report the old firmware version on the other EMM.
