Componentsforbackuppurposes.
b. JournalDirectory–Containsthedynamicchangesthatoccurduringthebackupprocess
c. IndexingDirectory
–HoldsindexesofthesnapshotscapturedontheCPSserver
ClickNexttocontinue.
12. Theinstallationsummaryappears.Verifyallselections.ClickInstalltocontinue.
13. Oncetheinstallationiscompletedtheappliancewillneedtoberestarted.ClickFinishtocompletethe
processandrestarttheappliance.

AnagentmustbeinstalledoneachremotesystembeingprotectedbyCPS.
2. CreatingBackupDestinations–Backupdestinationsarethelocations thatcon tai ntheCPSbackupdata
3. CreateBackupJobs–DeterminethedatathatisprotectedbyCPS.
4. Seedthedata–Dataseedingisthe
processofcreatinganinitialcopyofthebackupdataoutsidetheBackup
ExecContinuousProtectionServerframeworkbeforeanycontinuousprotectionjobshavebeenrun.Thisis
notrequired;however,copyingtheinitialdatausingthismethodologyisbeneficialinenvironmentswhere
continuousprotectionjobsarerunoverslow
networkconnectionssuchasaWideAreaNetwork(WAN).
