Introducción Esta guía proporciona información acerca de la implementación de las matrices de almacenamiento MD Dell PowerVault MD3200i y Dell PowerVault PowerVault MD3220i. El proceso de implementación incluye: • Instalación del hardware • Instalación del software Modular Disk Storage Manager (MDSM) • Configuración inicial del sistema Otra información facilitada incluye los requisitos del sistema, la organización de las matrices de almacenamiento y utilidades.
• Resolución de pantalla de 1024x768 con 16 millones de colores (1280x1024 de 32 bits recomendada) • Microsoft Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux y SUSE Linux Enterprise Server. Con MDSM, puede configurar los discos físicos de la matriz de almacenamiento en componentes lógicos, denominados grupos de discos, que posteriormente puede dividir en discos virtuales. Los grupos de discos se crean en la capacidad no configurada de una matriz de almacenamiento. Los discos virtuales se crean en la capacidad libre de un grupo de discos. La capacidad sin configurar está formada por los discos físicos que todavía no están asignados a un grupo de discos.
Introducción
Instalación del hardware Antes de utilizar esta guía, asegúrese de que ha revisado las instrucciones en la: • Guía de introducción: la Guía de introducción enviada con la matriz de almacenamiento proporciona información para configurar la configuración inicial del sistema. • Sección de planificación del Manual del propietario: la sección de planificación proporciona información acerca de conceptos importantes que debe conocer antes de configurar la solución de almacenamiento.
Conexión de la matriz de almacenamiento La matriz de almacenamiento está conectada a un host mediante dos módulos de la controladora RAID de intercambio directo. Los módulos de la controladora RAID se identifican como módulo 0 de la controladora RAID y módulo 1 de la controladora RAID. Cada módulo de la controladora RAID contiene cuatro conectores de puerto de entrada iSCSI que proporcionan conexiones Ethernet al servidor host o a los conmutadores.
Configuraciones redundantes y no redundantes Las configuraciones no redundantes son configuraciones que proporcionan una única ruta desde un host a la matriz de almacenamiento. Este tipo de configuración sólo se recomienda para el almacenamiento de datos no críticos. Un error de ruta de acceso debido a un cable defectuoso o extraído, una NIC defectuosa, o un módulo de controladora RAID defectuoso o quitado pueden provocar la pérdida del acceso de host al almacenamiento en la matriz de almacenamiento.
En la Ilustración 2-1 se muestra una configuración de cableado no redundante para los módulos de la controladora RAID utilizando una única configuración de ruta de datos. Ilustración 2-1.

Configuración de datos de doble ruta En la Ilustración 2-4, el módulo de la controladora RAID tiene conectados directamente hasta cuatro servidores. Si el servidor host dispone de una segunda conexión Ethernet a la matriz, puede conectarse a los puertos iSCSI de la segunda controladora de la matriz. Esta configuración mejora la disponibilidad, ya que permite que haya dos rutas físicas distintas para cada host, lo que garantiza la redundancia completa si falla una de las rutas.

Configuraciones conectadas por red También puede cablear los servidores de host a los puertos iSCSI del módulo de la controladora RAID a través de conmutadores estándar de sector Ethernet de 1GB. Una configuración iSCSI que utiliza conmutadores Ethernet se denomina habitualmente IP SAN. Si se utiliza una SAN IP, la matriz de almacenamiento PowerVault serie MD3200i puede admitir hasta 64 hosts a la vez.

Cableado de gabinetes de expansión PowerVault serie MD1200 Puede ampliar la capacidad de la matriz de almacenamiento PowerVault serie MD3200i agregando gabinetes de expansión PowerVault serie MD1200. Puede ampliar el bloque de discos físicos hasta un máximo de 120 (o 192, si se habilita mediante la activación de la Función Premium) discos físicos utilizando un máximo de siete gabinetes de expansión.
3 Asegúrese de que el software de la matriz de almacenamiento esté instalado y actualizado antes de agregar los gabinetes de expansión. c Una vez que la matriz de almacenamiento esté en línea y preparada, encienda los sistemas host conectados. 7 Después de que el gabinete de expansión PowerVault serie MD1200 se haya configurado como un gabinete de expansión de la matriz de almacenamiento, reestablezca los datos de los que había hecho copia de seguridad en el paso 1. Después de que los gabinetes de expansión estén en línea, se podrá acceder a ellos como parte de la matriz de almacenamiento.
2 Detenga la actividad de E/S y apague todos los sistemas: a Detenga la actividad de E/S en la matriz y apague los sistemas host afectados conectados a la matriz de almacenamiento. b Apague la matriz de almacenamiento. c Apague los gabinetes de expansión en el sistema afectado. 3 Cablee los gabinetes de expansión en la matriz de almacenamiento. 4 Encienda las unidades conectadas: a Encienda los gabinetes de expansión. Espere a que el LED de estado del gabinete se ilumine con una luz azul.
5 Al utilizar PowerVault MDSM, actualice el firmware de gabinetes de expansión conectados si ha caducado: a Desde EMW, seleccione el gabinete que desee actualizar e introduzca la Ventana Administración de matrices (AMW). b Haga clic en Avanzado→ Mantenimiento→ Descargar→ Firmware de EMM. c Seleccione Seleccionar todo para actualizar simultáneamente todos los gabinetes de expansión conectados.
Instalación del hardware
Instalación del software PowerVault MD Storage El soporte de recursos de Dell PowerVault serie MD contiene el software y los controladores de los sistemas operativos Linux y Microsoft Windows. En la raíz del soporte hay un archivo readme.txt con información sobre los cambios en el software, actualizaciones, correcciones, parches y otros datos importantes para los sistemas operativos Linux y Windows. En el archivo readme.
NOTA: si no se utiliza el Protocolo de configuración dinámica de host (DHCP), la configuración inicial de la estación de administración debe realizarse en la misma subred física que la matriz de almacenamiento. Además, durante la configuración inicial, debe configurarse al menos un adaptador de red en la misma subred IP que el puerto de administración predeterminado de la matriz de almacenamiento (192.168.128.101 o 192.168.128.102).
NOTA: de manera predeterminada, Red Hat Enterprise Linux monta el soporte de recursos con la opción de montaje -noexec, la cual no permite ejecutar archivos ejecutables. Para cambiar esta configuración, vea el archivo Léame en el directorio raíz del soporte de instalación. 2 Seleccione Instalar MD Storage Software. 3 Lea y acepte el contrato de licencia.
11 Si se aplica, active cualquiera de las funciones premium adquiridas con la matriz de almacenamiento. Si ha adquirido funciones premium, vea la tarjeta de activación impresa enviada con la matriz de almacenamiento. NOTA: el instalador de MD Storage Manager instala automáticamente los controladores, el firmware y las revisiones/correcciones urgentes del sistema operativo necesarios para que funcione la matriz de almacenamiento. Estos controladores y el firmware se encuentran disponibles en support.dell.
3 Una vez revisado el archivo custom_silent.properties para que refleje la instalación específica, ejecute el siguiente comando para comenzar la instalación silenciosa: mdss_install.exe –f \ custom_silent.properties Para ejecutar la instalación silenciosa en un sistema Linux: NOTA: en sistemas operativos Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, ejecute la siguiente secuencia de comandos desde el directorio raíz para instalar paquetes de requisitos previos: # md_prereq_install.
Instalación del software PowerVault MD Storage
Tareas posteriores a la instalación Antes de utilizar la matriz de almacenamiento por primera vez, debe realizar una serie de tareas de configuración inicial en el orden que se indica. Estas tareas se realizan con el software MD Storage Manager (MDSM). NOTA: si no se utiliza el Protocolo de configuración dinámica de host (DHCP), la configuración inicial mediante la estación de administración debe realizarse en la misma subred física que la matriz de almacenamiento.

Configuración de iSCSI en la matriz de almacenamiento En las secciones siguientes se proporcionan instrucciones detalladas para configurar iSCSI en la matriz de almacenamiento. Sin embargo, antes de comenzar, es importante tener claro dónde se realiza cada uno de estos pasos en relación al entorno del servidor host o al entorno de la matriz de almacenamiento. En la Tabla 4-2 siguiente se muestran todos los pasos específicos de configuración de iSCSI y dónde tiene lugar cada uno. Tabla 4-2.
Configuración automática mediante la utilidad Modular Disk Configuration Utility NOTA: si PowerVault MDCU no está instalada, puede instalarse desde el soporte de recursos PowerVault serie MD. La utilidad PowerVault MDCU proporciona un enfoque consolidado para configurar la red iSCSI de servidores host y de matrices de almacenamiento basadas en iSCSI mediante una interfaz guiada por un asistente.
Esta tarea de configuración incluye, por lo general, los siguientes pasos: 1 Detecte las matrices de almacenamiento disponibles para configurarlas. 2 Seleccione una matriz de almacenamiento para configurarla. 3 Establezca un nombre y una contraseña para la matriz de almacenamiento. 4 Configure los protocolos y direcciones IP para los puertos de administración. 5 Configure los protocolos y las direcciones IP para los puertos iSCSI. 6 Especifique el método de autenticación CHAP.
Antes de iniciar el proceso de configuración Antes de iniciar la configuración de la matriz de almacenamiento o de la conectividad de host, es recomendable que rellene la hoja de configuración de iSCSI para ayudarle a preparar la configuración. Es posible que tenga que utilizar diversas hojas según la configuración.
2 Haga clic en Siguiente para continuar. 3 Seleccione la tarea de configuración Configurar matriz de almacenamiento de disco modular y haga clic en Siguiente para continuar. 4 Seleccione el método por el cual la utilidad debería detectar las matrices de almacenamiento para configurarlas y haga clic en Siguiente. • Detección automática: la detección automática consulta la subred local para todas las matrices de almacenamiento basadas en iSCSI y puede que tarde algunos minutos en completarse.
6 Introduzca el nombre de la matriz de almacenamiento y la contraseña. Si quiere asignar una nueva contraseña para la matriz, seleccione Establecer contraseña y después introduzca la nueva contraseña en los campos Contraseña nueva y Confirmar contraseña nueva. Haga clic en Siguiente para continuar. 7 Seleccione el protocolo de IP (IPv4/IPv6) que va a usar el puerto de administración.
10 En la pantalla Resumen, revise la información que ha introducido para la matriz de almacenamiento. Haga clic en Aplicar para guardar los cambios en la matriz de almacenamiento. NOTA: para anular la configuración de la matriz de almacenamiento y para volver a seleccionar una matriz de almacenamiento para su configuración, haga clic en Cancelar matriz. 11 En la pantalla Configurar matrices adicionales, seleccione si quiere o no configurar la matriz de almacenamiento adicional.
Haga clic en Siguiente para seguir introduciendo información de inicio de sesión para otra controladora o haga clic en Aplicar para guardar la información de inicio de sesión. 17 En la pantalla Conectar a matrices adicionales, seleccione si quiere o no conectarse a otra matriz de almacenamiento. si quiere conectarse a otra matriz de almacenamiento, repita los pasos anteriores empezando desde el paso 15.
Si el host no tiene acceso a los puertos de administración de la matriz, seleccione el método Detectar por medio de puerto iSCSI (asumiendo que el host tenga acceso a los puertos host iSCSI de la matriz de almacenamiento) y haga clic en Siguiente. Continúe hasta el paso 5.
Selección de puerto de origen para los puertos de host iSCSI Para establecer la comunicación de datos entre un host y una matriz de almacenamiento basada en iSCSI, el iniciador iSCSI del host debe configurarse para establecer sesiones iSCSI en los puertos de host iSCSI de la matriz de almacenamiento. La pantalla de inicio de sesión del puerto iSCSI le permite especificar el host y las direcciones IP de la matriz de almacenamiento que el iniciador iSCSI utiliza para establecer estas sesiones iSCSI.
Esta selección automática intenta asegurar que una dirección IP de host (hasta dos direcciones IP para las matrices de almacenamiento PowerVault MD3000i y hasta cuatro direcciones IP para las matrices de almacenamiento PowerVault MD3200i y MD3220i) establece una sesión iSCSI con cada controladora de matriz de almacenamiento y que la dirección IP de host se ha iniciado hasta un máximo de un puerto iSCSI por controladora.
Pautas para la configuración de la red para iSCSI En esta sección se proporcionan pautas generales para configurar el entorno de red y las direcciones IP para su utilización con los puertos iSCSI del servidor host y la matriz de almacenamiento. Puede que su entorno de red requiera pasos adicionales o diferentes de los que aquí se enumeran, de modo que póngase en contacto con el administrador del sistema antes de realizar la configuración.
Si utiliza una dirección IP estática: 1 En el Panel de control, seleccione Conexiones de red o Centro de redes y recursos compartidos y, a continuación, haga clic en Administrar conexiones de red. 2 Haga clic con el botón derecho del mouse en la conexión de red que desea configurar y seleccione Propiedades. 3 En la ficha General (para una conexión de área local) o en la ficha Redes (para el resto de conexiones), seleccione Protocolo Internet (TCP/IP) y, a continuación, haga clic en Propiedades.
5 En la ventana Servidor WINS TCP/IP, introduzca la dirección IP del servidor WINS y haga clic en Agregar. 6 Para permitir el uso del archivo Lmhosts con el fin de resolver nombres NetBIOS remotos, seleccione Habilitar la búsqueda de LMHOSTS. 7 Para especificar la ubicación del archivo que desea importar en el archivo Lmhosts, seleccione Importar LMHOSTS y, a continuación, seleccione el archivo en el cuadro de diálogo Abrir. 8 Habilite o deshabilite NetBIOS sobre TCP/IP.
Si utiliza una dirección IP estática (solo usuarios raíz): 1 Edite el archivo /etc/sysconfig/network del modo siguiente: NETWORKING=yes HOSTNAME=mymachine.mycompany.com GATEWAY=255.255.255.0 2 Edite el archivo de configuración para la conexión que desea configurar, bien /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ethX (para Red Hat Enterprise Linux), o bien /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-eth-id-XX:XX:XX:XX:XX (para SUSE Enterprise Linux). Desinstalación del software PowerVault MD Storage Cómo desinstalar el software Dell PowerVault MD Storage desde Windows Utilice la función Cambiar o quitar programas para desinstalar Dell PowerVault Modular Disk Storage Software desde los sistemas operativos Microsoft Windows que no sean Microsoft Windows Server 2008: 1 En el Panel de control, haga doble clic en Agregar o quitar programas. 2 Seleccione el Dell MD32xxi Storage Software de la lista de programas. 3 Haga clic en Cambiar o quitar.
NOTA: de forma predeterminada, Dell PowerVault MD Storage Manager está instalado en el directorio \Archivos de programa\Dell\MD Storage Software. Si durante la instalación se utilizó otro directorio, vaya a dicho directorio antes de empezar el proceso de desinstalación. 2 En el directorio de instalación, escriba el siguiente comando y presione : Unistall Dell MD Storage Software 3 En la ventana Desinstalar, haga clic en Siguiente y siga las instrucciones que aparecen en la pantalla.
Apéndice: Configuración manual de iSCSI En las secciones siguientes se proporcionan instrucciones detalladas para configurar iSCSI en la matriz de almacenamiento. Sin embargo, antes de empezar la configuración, es importante saber dónde se realiza cada paso en relación al entorno del servidor host o a la matriz de almacenamiento. En la Tabla A-1 siguiente se muestran todos los pasos específicos de configuración de iSCSI y dónde tiene lugar cada uno. Tabla A-1.
Paso 1: Detección de la matriz de almacenamiento (solo administración fuera de banda) Configuración predeterminada de los puertos de administración De manera predeterminada, los puertos de administración de la matriz de almacenamiento están definidos para el Protocolo de configuración dinámica de host (DHCP).
Detección automática de la matriz de almacenamiento 1 Inicie MD Storage Manager (MDSM). Si esta es la primera matriz de almacenamiento a configurar, aparece la ventana Agregar nueva matriz de almacenamiento. 2 Seleccione Automático y haga clic en Aceptar. El proceso de detección puede tardar varios minutos en completarse. Si cierra la ventana de estado de detección antes de que haya finalizado el proceso de detección, el proceso se cancelará.
3 Haga clic en la opción Tareas de configuración inicial para ver enlaces al resto de tareas posteriores a la instalación. Para obtener más información sobre cada tarea, consulte el Manual del propietario. Realice estas tareas en el orden mostrado en la tabla 4-3. NOTA: antes de configurar la matriz de almacenamiento, compruebe los iconos de estado de la ficha Resumen para asegurarse de que los gabinetes de la matriz de almacenamiento se encuentran en estado óptimo.
Paso 2: Configuración de los puertos iSCSI de la matriz de almacenamiento De manera predeterminada, los puertos iSCSI de la matriz de almacenamiento están definidos con los valores de IPv4 siguientes: Controller 0, Port 0: IP: 192.168.130.101 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Port: 3260 Controller 0, Port 1: IP: 192.168.131.101 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Port: 3260 Controller 0, Port 2: IP: 192.168.132.101 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Port: 3260 Controller 0, Port 3: IP: 192.168.133.101 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.
Cuando se hace clic en el botón Avanzado, se ofrecen las configuraciones siguientes (según la configuración específica): • Compatibilidad con LAN virtual (VLAN): una VLAN es una red de diferentes sistemas que se comportan como si estuvieran conectados a los mismos segmentos de una red de área local (LAN) y que utilizan los mismos conmutadores y enrutadores. Cuando se configura un dispositivo como una VLAN, puede trasladarse a otra ubicación sin tener que volver a configurarlo.
Paso 3: Detección del destino desde el iniciador iSCSI En este paso se identifican los puertos iSCSI de la matriz de almacenamiento hacia el servidor host. Seleccione el conjunto de pasos de una de las secciones siguientes (Microsoft Windows o Linux) correspondiente a su sistema operativo.
6 Haga clic en Aceptar para salir del menú Avanzado y, a continuación, vuelva a hacer clic en Aceptar para salir de la pantalla Agregar portales de destino. 7 Para salir de la ficha Detección, haga clic en Aceptar. Si tiene previsto configurar la autenticación CHAP, no efectúe la detección en más de un puerto iSCSI en este momento. Vaya al “Paso 4: Configuración del acceso de host” en la página 66.
4 Edite las entradas siguientes en el archivo /etc/iscsi/iscsid.conf: a Edite o compruebe que la línea node.startup = manual esté deshabilitada. b Edite o compruebe que la línea node.startup = automatic esté habilitada. Esto habilitará el inicio automático del servicio al iniciar. c Compruebe que el siguiente valor de tiempo de espera está establecido en 30: node.session.timeo.replacement_timeout = 30 d Guarde y cierre el archivo /etc/iscsi/iscsid.conf.
Paso 4: Configuración del acceso de host En este paso se especifica qué servidores host accederán a los discos virtuales de la matriz de almacenamiento. Debe realizar este paso: • Antes de asignar discos virtuales a los servidores host • Cada vez que conecte servidores host nuevos a la matriz de almacenamiento 1 Inicie MDSM. 2 Vaya a la AMW y haga clic en Definir hosts manualmente.
CHAP de destino En el CHAP de destino, la matriz de almacenamiento autentica todas las peticiones de acceso emitidas por los iniciadores iSCSI del servidor host a través de un secreto CHAP. Para establecer la autenticación CHAP de destino, debe introducir un secreto CHAP en la matriz de almacenamiento y, a continuación, configurar todos los iniciadores iSCSI del servidor host para que envíen ese secreto cada vez que intenten acceder a la matriz de almacenamiento.

Configuración de la autenticación CHAP mutua en la matriz de almacenamiento El secreto del iniciador debe ser exclusivo para cada servidor host que se conecta a la matriz de almacenamiento y debe ser distinto del secreto CHAP del destino. Cambie la configuración de la autenticación del iniciador en la ventana Cambiar autenticación de destino. Utilice estas opciones para cambiar la configuración: • Ninguna: seleccione Ninguna si no permite ninguna autenticación de iniciador.
2 Si no utiliza la autenticación CHAP mutua, vaya al paso 4. 3 Si utiliza la autenticación CHAP mutua, haga clic en la ficha General y seleccione Secreto. En Introduzca un secreto seguro, especifique el secreto CHAP mutuo que ha introducido para la matriz de almacenamiento. 4 Haga clic en la ficha Detección. 5 En Portales de destino, seleccione la dirección IP del puerto iSCSI en la matriz de almacenamiento y haga clic en Quitar.
NOTA: si falla la conexión, compruebe que las direcciones IP se hayan introducido correctamente. Las direcciones de IP con errores de escritura dan lugar a problemas de conexión. Si utiliza la versión Core de Windows Server 2008 1 Defina los servicios de iniciador de iSCSI para que se inicien de forma automática (si no están definidos): sc \\ config msiscsi start= auto 2 Inicie el servicio de iSCSI (si es necesario): sc start msiscsi 3 Si no utiliza la autenticación CHAP mutua, vaya al paso 5.
2 Para establecer un nombre de usuario y una contraseña para la autenticación CHAP del iniciador por los destinos, edite las líneas siguientes: node.session.auth.username = node.session.auth.password = 3 Si utiliza la autenticación CHAP mutua, puede establecer el nombre de usuario y la contraseña para la autenticación CHAP de los destinos por el iniciador editando las líneas siguientes: node.session.auth.username_in= node.session.

7 Seleccione una: • Si no utiliza la autenticación CHAP, seleccione No Authentication (Sin autenticación). Vaya al paso 8. O • Si utiliza la autenticación CHAP, introduzca el nombre de usuario y la contraseña de CHAP. Para habilitar el CHAP mutuo, seleccione e introduzca el nombre de usuario y la contraseña del CHAP mutuo. 8 Repita el paso 7 para cada destino hasta que al menos una conexión inicie una sesión para cada controladora. 9 Vaya a Connected Targets (Destinos conectados).
• Portal de destino: seleccione el puerto iSCSI de la controladora de la matriz de almacenamiento con el que desea conectar. • Resumen de datos y Resumen de encabezados: opcionalmente, puede indicar que se compile un resumen de datos o de información de encabezados durante la transmisión para ayudarle a solucionar los problemas del sistema. • Información de inicio de sesión CHAP: si se requiere la autenticación CHAP, seleccione esta opción e introduzca el Secreto de destino.
3 Inicie sesión en el destino: iscsicli PersistentLoginTarget * * * * * * * * * donde – es el nombre del destino como aparece en la lista de destinos. Utilice el comando iscsicli ListTargets para visualizar la lista de destinos. – es T, que expone los LUN al sistema operativo como un dispositivo de almacenamiento.
Por ejemplo, el comando de inicio de sesión puede tener el aspecto siguiente: iscsicli PersistentLoginTarget iqn.198405.com.dell:powervault.6001372000ffe3332xx0000046 72edf2 3260 T 192.168.130.101 * * * 0x2 * * * * * * * * * 0 Para ver las sesiones activas en el destino, utilice el comando siguiente: iscsicli SessionList Para admitir la conmutación tras error en la controladora de la matriz de almacenamiento, el servidor host debe estar conectado a al menos un puerto iSCSI de cada controladora.
Paso 8: Configuración de la administración en banda (opcional) La administración fuera de banda (ver “Paso 1: Detección de la matriz de almacenamiento (solo administración fuera de banda)” en la página 58) es el método recomendado para administrar la matriz de almacenamiento. Sin embargo, para configurar opcionalmente la administración en banda, realice los pasos que se indican a continuación.
Apéndice: Configuración manual de iSCSI
Apéndice: Uso del Servicio de nombres de almacenamiento de Internet El servidor del Servicio de nombres de almacenamiento de Internet (iSNS), compatible sólo con entornos iSCSI de Microsoft Windows, elimina la necesidad de configurar manualmente cada una de las matrices de almacenamiento con una lista específica de iniciadores y direcciones IP de destino. En lugar de ello, iSNS detecta, administra y configura de forma automática todos los dispositivos iSCSI del entorno.
Apéndice: Uso del Servicio de nombres de almacenamiento de Internet
Apéndice: Equilibrio de carga Directiva de equilibrio de carga Los controladores multirruta seleccionan la ruta de E/S a un disco virtual a través de un módulo de controladora RAID específico. Cuando el controlador multirruta recibe una nueva E/S para procesar, el controlador busca una ruta al módulo de controladora RAID actual que posee el disco virtual.
Menor profundidad de cola con subconjunto La directiva de menor profundidad de cola con subconjunto también se conoce como directiva de menor actividad de E/Ss o menos solicitudes. Esta directiva dirige la siguiente solicitud de E/S a la ruta de datos que tenga menos solicitudes de E/S pendientes a la cola. Para esta directiva, una solicitud de E/S no es más que un comando a la cola. El tipo de comando o el número de bloques asociados con el comando no se tienen en cuenta.
2 Haga clic en Administrador de dispositivos para ver la lista de dispositivos que están conectados al host. 3 Haga clic con el botón derecho del mouse sobre el dispositivo de disco de múltiples rutas para el que desee configurar las políticas de equilibrio de carga y seleccione Propiedades. 4 Desde la ficha MPIO seleccione la directiva de equilibrio de carga que desee configurar para este dispositivo de disco.
En la Ilustración C-1 se muestra cómo configurar el iniciador para aprovechar al máximo las funciones de equilibrio de carga del controlador de migración tras error multirruta. Ilustración C-1.
Se han configurado dos sesiones con una conexión TCP del host a cada controladora (una sesión por puerto), para un total de cuatro sesiones. El controlador de migración tras error multirruta equilibra el acceso de E/S en las sesiones a los puertos de la misma controladora. En una configuración dúplex, con discos virtuales en cada controladora, la creación de sesiones mediante los puertos de datos iSCSI de las dos controladoras aumenta la amplitud de banda y proporciona equilibrio de carga.

Apéndice: cómo detener e iniciar servicios iSCSI en Linux Para detener manualmente los servicios iSCSI en Linux, se deben realizar determinados pasos para mantener el procesamiento paralelo entre la matriz de almacenamiento y el servidor host. 1 Detenga toda la actividad de E/S. 2 Desmonte todos los sistemas de archivos correlacionados. Detenga el servicio iSCSI ejecutando el siguiente comando: /etc/init.
