Note: When a user-provided certicate and private key are removed, the system defaults to the self-
signed certicate and private key that shipped with the machine.
Note: The imported SSL Certicate/Private Key is not saved during the Save/Restore function on the
Autoloader. If the Dell PowerVault TL1000 Autoloader is replaced, the SSL Certicate and the Private Key
must be imported again, if needed.
Saving and restoring conguration settings
Your library conguration can be saved and restored automatically by a cookie and manually by with the
Web User Interface. It is recommended that you use the Web User Interface method whether you use the
cookie method.
Important: Verify all conguration settings after your library conguration is restored. Reset the library
date and time (see “Conguring date and time settings” on page 78).
Saving and restoring conguration automatically with cookies
If allowed by your web browser preference settings, cookies are employed to automatically save your
library conguration on your host computer and automatically restore your library conguration if your
library network conguration uses a static IP address. The following flowchart illustrates how VPD data is
saved from and restored to a library with cookies.
