Note: When a user-provided certicate and private key are removed, the system defaults to the self-
signed certicate and private key that shipped with the machine.
Note: The imported SSL Certicate/Private Key is not saved during the Save/Restore function on the
Autoloader. If the Dell PowerVault TL1000 Autoloader is replaced, the SSL Certicate and the Private Key
must be imported again, if needed.
Saving and restoring conguration settings
Your library conguration can be saved and restored automatically by a cookie and manually by with the
Web User Interface. It is recommended that you use the Web User Interface method whether you use the
cookie method.
Important: Verify all conguration settings after your library conguration is restored. Reset the library
date and time (see “Conguring date and time settings” on page 78).
Saving and restoring conguration automatically with cookies
If allowed by your web browser preference settings, cookies are employed to automatically save your
library conguration on your host computer and automatically restore your library conguration if your
library network conguration uses a static IP address. The following flowchart illustrates how VPD data is
saved from and restored to a library with cookies.
