Removing the Left I/O and IEEE 1394 Board

1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer

2. Remove the battery
.
3. Remove the access panel
.
4. Remove the secondary hard drive
(if applicable).
5. Remove the hinge cover
.
6. Remove the keyboard
.
7. Remove the display assembly
.
8. Remove the palm rest
.
9. Remove the PCMCIA card cage
.
10. Remove the four screws that secure the left I/O and IEEE 1394 board to the computer.
11. Lift the left I/O and IEEE1394 board up and away from the computer.
