10. Disconnect the display cable and right IO-panel and fan cables from the system board. 11. Disconnect the left IO-panel and fan cables from the system board.
12. Remove the screws that secure the palm rest to the computer. 13. Gently pry the palm rest and remove the palm rest from the computer.
Replacing the Palm Rest To replace the palm rest, perform the above steps in reverse order.

10. Lift the right I/O board up and away from the computer. Replacing the Right I/O Board To replace the right I/O board, perform the above steps in reverse order.

12. Disconnect the cable that connects the IEEE 1394 board to the left I/O board.
Replacing the Left I/O and IEEE 1394 Board To replace the left I/O and IEEE 1394 board, perform the above steps in reverse order.
