Before You Call
NOTE: Have your Express Service Code / Service Tag ready when you call. The code helps Dell's automated-support
telephone system direct your call more efficiently.
Remember to fill out the Diagnostics Checklist below. If possible, turn on your computer before you call Dell for technical assistance and
call from a telephone at or near the computer. You may be asked to type some commands at the keyboard, relay detailed information
during operations, or try other troubleshooting steps possible only at the computer itself. Ensure that the computer documentation is
available.
NOTE: Before working inside your computer, read the safety instructions in your
Owner’s Manual

your passage through customs. Investigate the customs regulations of the countries you plan to visit, and consider acquiring an
international carnet (also known as a merchandise passport) from your government.
Find out what type of electrical outlets are used in the countries you will visit, and have appropriate power adapters.

portable computers.
