If the cnic driver is loaded, it must be unloaded first before the bnx2 driver can be
unloaded.
If the driver was installed using rpm, issue the following command to remove it:
rpm -e bnx2
If the driver was installed using make install from the tar file, the driver
bnx2.o (or bnx2.ko) must be manually deleted from the system.
bnx2x
To unload the bnx2x VMware ESXi driver, issue the following command:
vmkload_mod -u bnx2x
qfle3
To remove the driver package, issue the following command:
#esxcli software vib remove --vibname <vib-name>
For example:
esxcli software vib remove --vibname qfle3
To unload the driver temporarily, issue the following command:
#vmkload_mod -u qfle3
Driver Messages
The following sections list common driver messages for some of the Ethernet
drivers listed in Table 8-1.
bnx2x
The following the bnx2x VMware ESXi driver messages are the most common
sample messages that may be logged in the file /var/log/vmkernel.log.
Issue the dmesg -n <level> command to control the level at which messages
appear on the console. Most systems are set to level 6 by default. To see all
messages, set the level higher.
