Setting Power Management Options

To have the controller stay on at all times:
On the adapter properties’ Power Management page, clear the Allow the
computer to turn off the device to save power check box, as shown in
Figure 9-2.

NOTE
Power management options are not available on blade servers.
NOTE
 The Power Management page is available only for servers that support
power management.
 To enable wake on LAN (WoL) when the computer is on standby, select
the Allow the device to wake the computer check box.
 If you select the Only allow a magic packet to wake the computer
check box, the computer can be brought out of standby only by a magic
packet.
CAUTION
Do not select Allow the computer to turn off the device to save power for
any adapter that is a member of a team.
