NOTE: A hotfix for this issue is installed on your system by Dell. If the
operating system must be reinstalled, see the Microsoft Knowledge Base
article 911924 on how to reinstall this hotfix.
In the MMC, Open Mode appears as Read when the user has
Read+Change permission.
If the permissions are changed in Share folder management to
Read+ Change
and a user logs into the system from a different machine and tries to access
the share, the following events occur:
The file shows
Open mode
as
Read
instead of
Read+Write
, even
though the user has
Read
+
Change
permission on that shared folder.
The
Open
mode
is
Read
, even for a domain administrator who has
Full
control
permission on that folder.
The user can modify the contents of the file.
This behavior is normal, as designed by Microsoft. For additional

Enabling Microsoft Clustering Services (MSCS) on a Windows Storage
Server 2003 R2 x64 Edition system requires reinstalling some of the
pre-installed components

This section provides information to enable clustering on a Windows
Storage Server 2003 R2 Edition operating system.
Uninstalling Microsoft Services for NFS:
–Click
Start
Settings
Control Panel
Add or Remove programs

–Select
Add/Remove Windows Components
.
Deselect the checkbox
Microsoft Services for NFS
when the screen
appears and click
OK
.
–Click
Finish
to complete uninstall procedure.
