Installing the front mounting front PERC module
Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions on page 25.
2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system on page 26.
3. Remove the drive backplane cover.
4. If installed, remove the air shroud.
5. Route the cable properly to prevent the cable from being pinched or crimped.
Steps
1. Connect the PERC cable to the front PERC module.
2. Align the front PERC module at an angle until the tray touches the slot in the system.
3. Press the front PERC module connector with the connector on the drive backplane until firmly seated.
4. Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, tighten the thumbscrews on the front PERC module.
