Transmit and receive statistics are reported as zero
by the ip tool for Broadcom BCM57504 adapters
Description: The ip tool reports TX and RX statistics as zero in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.8 with Broadcom
BCM57504 adapters. The ip tool may display a message similar to the following:
ip -s link show em4
5: em4: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 9000 qdisc mq state UP
mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
link/ether bc:97:e1:99:db:12 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
RX: bytes packets errors dropped overrun mcast

TX: bytes packets errors dropped carrier collsns

This is a cosmetic issue with no impact to functionality.
Applies to: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.8
Workaround: Install the out-of-box drivers for Broadcom BCM57504.

Description:
The following error messages are observed in the dmesg on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.8 with Broadcom
BCM57504 25GB adapter when NIC and RDMA mode is enabled in the system BIOS device settings:

The message indicates that RoCE is not functional.
