Glossary
The following list defines or identifies technical terms, abbreviations, and
acronyms used in this document.
managed system
A managed system is any system that is monitored and managed using
SCOM/SCE and SCVMM and running Dell OpenManage Server Administrator.
Systems running Server Administrator can be managed locally or remotely
through a supported Web browser.
management station
A management station can be any Microsoft® Windows® -based system which
is used to manage virtualized infrastructures.
SCOM
Abbreviation for System Center Operations Manager.
task
Tasks are actions that you launch to diagnose or resolve a problem, or to automate
repetitive actions. Tasks are launched from the Operations Manager 2007
Operators Console.
SCVMM
Abbreviation for System Center Virtual Machine Manager.
SCE
Abbreviation for System Center Essentials.
