a In the Name eld, type a name for the QoS prole.
b (Optional for volume QoS proles only) In the Relative Priority eld, select the priority of prole in relation to other QoS proles.
To specify a custom relative priority, select Custom and type a number in the Priority Value eld.
c (Optional for volume QoS proles only) Select Enable Latency Threshold Alert, then type a value in milleseconds for the latency
alert threshold.
d (Optional) Select Limit by IOPS, then type a value for the maximum I/O per second allowed.
e (Optional) Select Limit by Bandwidth, then type a value for the maximum MB per second allowed.
7 Click OK.
Edit a QoS Prole
Modify the QoS prole to change the attributes that control the QoS for any volume or group to which it is applied.
1 If you are connected to a Data Collector, select a Storage Center from the drop-down list in the left navigation pane.

From the STORAGE menu, select Proles.
The Proles view is displayed.
3 In the Proles view, click Qos Proles.
4 In the QoS Prole section select the QoS prole you want to modify.
5 Click (Edit).
The Edit QoS Prole dialog box opens.
6 Where allowed, modify the values. The prole type eld cannot be modied.
7 Click OK.
Delete a QoS Volume Prole
Delete a QoS prole for a volume.
Prerequisite
Only QoS proles that are not currently in use by any volume can be deleted. The Default QoS Volume prole cannot be deleted even if
there are no volumes assigned to it. Group QoS Proles can be removed or reassigned; however, Volume QoS proles can be reassigned
only.
Steps
1 In the Storage tab navigation tab, expand QoS Proles and select the prole to be deleted.
2 Right-click the prole and select Delete.
A conrmation dialog box opens to request approval for the deletion.
3 Click OK.
4 If you are connected to a Data Collector, select a Storage Center from the drop-down list in the left navigation pane.

The Proles view is displayed.
6 In the Proles view, click QoS Proles.
7 Select the QoS prole to delete and click (Delete).
Apply a QoS Prole to a Volume
Apply a previously dened QoS prole to a volume.
Prerequisite
The QoS prole must already exist.
