4 In the right pane, click the Remote Expiration Rules tab.
5 Right-click the remote expiration rule to modify and select Edit Remote Snapshot Expiration.
The Edit Remote Snapshot Expiration dialog box opens.
6 Congure the remote snapshot expiration rule.
a In the Remote Expiration eld, specify the number of minutes, hours, days, or weeks to keep the remote snapshot before
deleting it.
b Click OK.
Managing Storage Proles
Storage Proles determine the RAID level and tiers on which data is stored.
NOTE: For user interface reference information, click Help.
Create a Storage Prole (Storage Center 7.2.1 and Earlier)
Create a storage prole to specify custom RAID level and tier settings that can be applied to one or more volumes.
Prerequisite
In the Storage Center User Volume Defaults, the Allow Storage Prole selection checkbox must be selected.
About this task
NOTE
: SCv2000 series controllers cannot create storage proles.
Steps
1 If the Storage Manager Client is connected to a Data Collector, select a Storage Center from the Storage view.
2 Click the Storage tab.
3 In the Storage tab navigation pane, select the Storage Proles node.
4 In the right pane, click Create Storage Prole.
The Create Storage Prole dialog box opens.
5 Congure the storage prole.
a Type a name for the storage prole in the Name eld.
b Select the RAID levels to use for volumes associated with the storage prole from the RAID Type Used drop-down menu.
c In the Storage Tiers area, select the checkboxes of the storage tiers (disk classes) that can be used for volumes associated with
the storage prole.
6 Click OK.
