Assign a Threshold Denition to a Controller or a Storage Center
Select a controller or a Storage Center, then click the Set Threshold Alert Denitions to assign a threshold denition.
1 Click the Storage view.
2 Select a Storage Center in the Storage pane.
3 Click the Hardware tab.
4 To display the threshold denitions assigned to the Storage Center, skip to the next step.
To display the threshold denitions assigned to a storage object, select one of the following nodes in the Hardware tab navigation
pane:
• Storage Center name: Select the Storage Center for which to display the assigned threshold denitions.
• Controller name: Select the controller for which to display the assigned threshold denitions.
5 In the right pane, click Set Threshold Alert Denitions. The Set Threshold Alert Denitions dialog box appears.
6 Select storage object usage metric to which to assign a threshold denition.
The threshold denitions that appear in the Available Threshold Denition pane depend on the type of usage metric selected.
If a threshold denition for the selected usage metric does not exist, create a threshold denition by clicking Create Threshold
Denition.
7 Select the threshold denition to assign to the usage metric.
8 Click OK.

Use the Denitions tab to view the current threshold alerts and historical threshold alerts for a threshold denition.
View the Current Threshold Alerts for a Threshold Denition
When a threshold denition is selected on the Denitions tab, the Current Threshold Alerts subtab displays the active alerts for the
denition.
1 Click the Threshold Alerts view.
2 Click the Denitions tab.
3 Select the threshold denition to view. The threshold denition appears in the bottom pane of the Denitions tab.
4 Click the Current Threshold Alerts tab, in the bottom pane, to display active threshold alerts for the selected threshold denition.
View the Historical Threshold Alerts for a Threshold Denition
When a threshold denition is selected on the Denitions tab, the Historical Threshold Alerts subtab displays the past alerts for the
denition.
1 Click the Threshold Alerts view.
2 Click the Denitions tab.
3 Select the threshold denition to display. The threshold denition appears in the bottom pane of the Denitions tab.
4 Click the Historical Threshold Alerts tab, in the bottom pane, to display past threshold alerts for the selected threshold denition.
