7 To send the conguration and log data to technical support for evaluation, select Send to SupportAssist.
8 To save conguration and log data to the Data Collector, select Download to le system.
9 Click OK.
If you selected Send to SupportAssist, the data is gathered and sent to a SupportAssist server.
If you selected Download to le system, the support data is saved as a compressed le to the following location on the Data
Collector
server: C:\Program Files\Dell EMC\Storage Manager\msaservice\node\package\node_modules\dsm-ui-plugin
\DsmSupportDump.
Conguring Virtual Appliance Settings
Use the Virtual Appliance tab to congure network, proxy server, and time settings for a Virtual Appliance.
Congure Network Settings for a Virtual Appliance
Use the Network Conguration dialog box to congure network settings and enable or disable SSH on the Virtual Appliance.
1 Connect to the Data Collector.
a Open a web browser.
b Type the address of the Data Collector in the web browser using the following format:
https://data_collector_host_name_or_IP_address:3033/
c Press Enter.
The Storage Manager login page is displayed.
d Type the user name and password of a Data Collector user with Administrator privileges in the User Name and Password eld.
e Click Log In.

If a Storage Center is selected from the drop-down list, click (Home) in the left navigation pane.
3 Click Data Collector.
The Data Collector view is displayed.
4 Click the Virtual Appliance tab, and then click the Network subtab.
5 Click Edit.
The Network Conguration dialog box opens.
6 In the Hostname eld, type the host name of the Virtual Appliance.
7 In the Domain eld, type the domain name of the Virtual Appliance.
8 To enable the Secure Shell (SSH), select the Enable SSH checkbox.
9 Select the network conguration type from the Conguration drop-down menu.
DHCP - Dynamic IP address
Static - Static IP address
10 If the network conguration is set to Static:
a Type the IP address of one or more Domain Name System (DNS) servers in the DNS eld.
NOTE
: Separate multiple IP addresses using commas.
b To congure IPv4 network settings, select the IPv4 radio button, and type the IP Address, netmask, and gateway in the
associated elds.
To congure IPv6 network settings, select the IPv6 radio button, and type the IP Address, gateway, and prex length in the
associated elds.
11 Click OK.
