a In the Name eld, type a name for the QoS prole.
b (Optional for volume QoS proles only) In the Relative Priority eld, select the priority of prole in relation to other QoS proles.
To specify a custom relative priority, select Custom and type a number in the Priority Value eld.
c (Optional for volume QoS proles only) Select Enable Latency Threshold Alert, then type a value in milleseconds for the latency
alert threshold.
d (Optional) Select Limit by IOPS, then type a value for the maximum I/O per second allowed.
e (Optional) Select Limit by Bandwidth, then type a value for the maximum MB per second allowed.
7 Click OK.
Edit a QoS Prole
Modify the QoS prole to change the attributes that control the QoS for any volume or group to which it is applied.
1 If you are connected to a Data Collector, select a Storage Center from the drop-down list in the left navigation pane.

From the STORAGE menu, select Proles.
The Proles view is displayed.
3 In the Proles view, click Qos Proles.
4 In the QoS Prole section select the QoS prole you want to modify.
5 Click (Edit).
The Edit QoS Prole dialog box opens.
6 Where allowed, modify the values. The prole type eld cannot be modied.
7 Click OK.
Delete a QoS Volume Prole
Delete a QoS prole for a volume.
Prerequisite
Only QoS proles that are not currently in use by any volume can be deleted. The Default QoS Volume prole cannot be deleted even if
there are no volumes assigned to it. Group QoS Proles can be removed or reassigned; however, Volume QoS proles can be reassigned
only.
Steps
1 In the Storage tab navigation tab, expand QoS Proles and select the prole to be deleted.
2 Right-click the prole and select Delete.
A conrmation dialog box opens to request approval for the deletion.
3 Click OK.
4 If you are connected to a Data Collector, select a Storage Center from the drop-down list in the left navigation pane.

6 In the Proles view, click QoS Proles.
7 Select the QoS prole to delete and click (Delete).
Apply a QoS Prole to a Volume
Apply a previously dened QoS prole to a volume.
Prerequisite
The QoS prole must already exist.
