3.15 Volume distribution reports
Dell EMC also recommends using the metrics reported using the subtabs for Volumes, Volume Growth, and
Storage Chart. These are located in the main window after selecting Volumes from the navigation tree (see
Figure 19). The metrics help to determine:
• Growth trends (logical and physical space consumed and allocated space for a volume)
• Volumes which have the largest overhead of snapshot data
• Any necessary snapshot cleanup or snapshot profile adjustments justified
• The amount of logical and physical space consumed and allocated space for a volume
