Installing the expansion card risers
Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system.
3. Remove the air shroud.
4. If removed, install the expansion cards into the expansion card risers.
Steps
1. Holding the blue touch points on the expansion card riser, align the expansion card with the connector on the system board.
2. Lower the expansion card riser into place until the expansion card riser is fully seated with the connector on the system
board.

Next steps
1. Install the air shroud.
2. Follow the procedure listed in After working inside the system.
3. Install any device drivers required for the card as described in the documentation for the card.
Removing expansion card from the expansion card riser
Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system.
3. Remove the air shroud.
4. Remove the expansion card riser.
5. If applicable, disconnect the cables from the expansion card.
Steps
1. Turn-over the expansion card riser, and holding the expansion card by its edges, remove the card from the riser.
