Rear drive module
This is a service technician replaceable part only.
Removing the rear drive module
Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system.
3. Remove the air shroud.
4. Remove the cooling fan cage.
5. Disconnect the signal and power cables connected to the rear drive module.
NOTE: The 2 x 2.5-inch rear drive module can be installed only with 12 x 3.5-inch backplane configuration system.
Steps
1. Loosen the captive screw using Phillips #2 screw driver.
2. Slide the rear drive towards the PIB to unlock it from the system.
