• Before executing the firmware update, stop all tape backup activity and put all scheduled jobs on
hold.
• After the firmware update is completed, restart the system for the updates to take effect.
• Tape automation devices are not supported by Dell Update Packages. Please disconnect or power
off such devices before executing Dell Update Packages.
