Configure the Link Aggregation Control Protocol
After the VLT is enabled, create the uplinks to the network layer above the MX9116N switches. The connections are a Link Aggregation
Control Protocol (LACP) active link aggregation of two or more ports.
A VLT link aggregation is created by creating a VLT port channel on each of the MX9116N switches. First create the uplink VLT port
channel on both switches and assign the appropriate VLANs.
Create a second LACP link aggregation, one on each switch, that is standard uplinks (not VLT uplinks). These links carry the NSX underlay
and management VLANs.
Ports 1/1/27 and 1/1/28 are two 100GbE ports that are contained in one double density physical port and, a special cable is required to
complete this connection. The cable is a QSFP28 DD 200 GbE to 2x100GbE QSFP28 cable. An example of that cable would be the AOC-
Q28DD-2Q28-100G-5M cable.
