Removing the display hinges

1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.

2. Remove the:

a. battery

b. optical drive

c. keyboard

d. base cover

e. hard drive assembly

f. optical drive

g. WLAN card

h. I/O board

i. memory module

j. coin cell battery

k. heat sink

l. system board

m. power connector

n. display assembly

o. display bezel

p. camera

q. display panel

3. To remove the hinges:

a. Remove the screws that secure the display hinges to the display assembly [1].

b. Remove the display hinges [2].

Installing the display hinges

1. Tighten the screws to secure the display hinges to the display assembly.

2. Install the:

a. display assembly

b. display bezel

c. display panel

d. camera

e. system board

f. power connector

g. WLAN card
