Description
Set the software clock to begin and end daylight savings time on a recurring basis.
Syntax
Usage Guidelines
This command subtracts exactly 1 hour from the configured time.
The WORD can be any alphanumeric string, but cannot start with a colon (:). A WORD longer than five characters is
not accepted. If you enter a WORD containing punctuation, the command is accepted, but the timezone is set to
UTC.
You can configure the time to change on a recurring basis. To do so, set the week, day, month, and time when the
change takes effect (daylight savings time starts). You must also set the week, day, month, and time when the
time changes back (daylight savings time ends).
The start day requires the first three letters of the day. The start month requires the first three letters of
the month.
You also have the option to set the number of hours by which to offset the clock from UTC. This has the same
effect as the clock timezone command.
Example
The following example sets daylight savings time to occur starting at 2:00 AM on Sunday in the second week of
March, and ending at 2:00 AM on Sunday in the first week of November. The example also sets the name of the
time zone to PST with an offset of UTC - 8 hours.
