Reference Guide

ip cp-redirect-address
ip cp-redirect-address <ipaddr> | disable
Description
This command configures a redirect address for captive portal.
Syntax
Parameter Description
<ipaddr>
Host address with a 32-bit netmask. This address should be routable from all external networks.
disable
Disables automatic DNS resolution for captive portal.
Usage Guidelines
This command redirects wireless clients that are on different VLANs (from the controller’s IP address) to the captive
portal on the controller.
If you have the Next Generation Policy Enforcement Firewall (PEFNG) license installed in the controller, modify
the captive portal session ACL to permit HTTP/S traffic to the destination cp-redirect-address <ipaddr> instead of
mswitch. If you do not have the PEFNG license installed in the controller, the implicit captive-portal-profile ACL is
automatically modified when you issue this command.
Example
The following command configures a captive portal redirect address:
(host) (config) #ip cp-redirect-address
