3. Specify the Authorize Authentication Method parameters as described in the following table:

Parameter Action/Description
Name Specify the label of the authentication method.
Description Provide additional information that helps to identify the authentication method.
Type Select authentication method type Authorize.
4. Click Save.
CHAP Authentication Method
Policy Manager is packaged with the Challenge-Handshake Authentication Protocol (CHAP)
authentication method. You can create one or more instances of the CHAP authentication method by
assigning a customized name to each one. This method can also be associated to a service as an authentication
method.
To add the CHAP authentication method:
1. Navigate to Configuration > Authentication > Methods.
The Authentication Methods page opens.
2. Click Add.
The Add Authentication Method configuration dialog opens:
