morph-vm
Use the morph-vm command to convert an evaluation virtual machine (VM) to a production VM. With this
command, licenses are still required to be installed after the morph operation is completed. Use the following
steps to convert an evaluation VM to a production VM:
1. Determine the type of the appliance to which you want to morph your evaluation VM.
2. Procure license for the target VM appliance.
3. Shut down the VM.
4. Determine the required capacity of an additional hard disk and attach to the target VM appliance.
5. Adjust the CPU and Memory settings for the evaluation VM to match the target VM appliance.
6. Boot the VM.
7. Execute the morph-vm command. The configuration data from the evaluation VM will be migrated to the
new disk attached. The node will reboot as a VM of the selected appliance model.
8. Login to the UI and enter the permanent license obtained. Now, the evaluation VM is morphed into a
production VM.
