Parameter Description
NOTE: As described in Services on page 79, you can specify additional authorization
sources at the service level. Policy Manager fetches role mapping attributes
regardless of which authentication source the user or device was authenticated
against.
Server
Timeout
Specifies the duration in number of seconds that Policy Manager waits before
considering this server unreachable. If multiple backup servers are available, then this
value indicates the duration in number of seconds that Policy Manager waits before
attempting to fail over from the primary to the backup servers in the order in which
they are configured.
Cache
Timeout
Policy Manager caches attributes fetched for an authenticating entity. This parameter
controls the duration in number of seconds for which the attributes are cached.
Backup
Servers
Priority
Click Add Backup to add a backup server. If the Backup 1 tab appears, you can
specify connection details for a backup server (same fields as for primary server that
is specified below).
To remove a backup server, select the server name and click Remove. Select Move
Up or Move Down to change the server priority of the backup servers. This is the
order in which Policy Manager attempts to connect to the backup servers if the
primary server is unreachable.
