Field Description
Network Access
Control List
This option defines networks users of apps within WorkSpace can authenticate on
and communicate through. For each entry in the list, you define:
Hostname/IP/range: A hostname such as example.com or an IP address. You can use
the wildcard character (*) to define ranges. For example, *.example.com or
128.255.*.*.
Action: Select:
Allow to allow apps within WorkSpace to connect to the defined host/IP.
Block to prevent apps within WorkSpace to connect to the defined host/IP.
Redirect to to redirect apps within WorkSpace attempting to connect to the defined
host/IP to a different host/IP
Redirect to Server: Enter a server name is Redirect to is selected above.
VPN Settings
Enable VPN
Select if apps using this template should be able to connect only through a virtual
private network (VPN).
VPN Server
Required if Enable VPN is selected. Enter the hostname or IP address of the server to
connect to.
Tunneled
Networks
Available only when Enable VPN is selected. Enter one or more networks, one
network or range of networks (range of IP addresses) per line.
VPN Custom Data
Available only when Enable VPN is selected. These are key-value pairs used for any
customer data required by your VPN.
Time Fencing Policies
Time fencing allows you to restrict the days and times an app can be used. You can also define a date and
time after which apps using this policy template will be locked.
Enable Time
Fencing
Select to restrict the time periods within which the app using the template can be
used.
Expire Apps After
Required when Enable Time Fencing is selected. Select:
Never: Apps are always available, subject to other constraints.
Expire after selected time: Apps can be used up to a date and time you specify.
Expiry Time
Required when Expire after selected time is selected. Click the selection button to
select a data and time, then click Select Date. Apps using this template will be locked
after the selected date and time.
App Usage
Required when Enable Time Fencing is selected. This option allows you to allow app
use in two ways:
Allow app use during the defined time(s).
Disallow app use during the defined time(s).
Time Fencing
Custom Policies
This option defines days, start times, and ends times of time fences. You can define as
many time fences as you need, one for each day you want to allow or deny access.
For example, if you wanted to allow apps using this profile to be used only during
business hours, you might define 5 time fences, one for each weekday, and all with
start times of 08:00 and end times of 17:00. Or if you want to disallow access when
your network server is making its weekly backup, you might define a time fence to
disallow access on Sundays from 02:00 to 04:00.
To add or change a time fence, enter a start time and end time and choose a day,
then click Add a new policy
To delete a time fence, click to select it, then click Remove.
