Owner's Manual

While operating a vehicle
The driver or operator of any vehicle should not operate a wireless data device while in control of a vehicle. Doing so
will detract from the driver or operator's control and operation of that vehicle. In some countries, operating such
communications devices while in control of a vehicle is an offence.
Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)
Electrical and electronic devices are sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD). Software will attempt to re-initialize a
connection should a substantial electrostatic discharge cause the device to reset. If the software is not operational
after an ESD occurrence, then restart the modem software application.
Inserting and removing the SIM card—precautions against electrostatic discharge (ESD). Do not touch the SIM card
connectors. As a precaution, always make sure that the data card is already in your hand before you insert or remove
the SIM card.
NOTE: The Dell Mobile Broadband Card and SIM card do not support hot swap. Ensure the system is powered
down prior to installing or removing the devices.
