If you enable the DP audio, and select the DP audio as the playback device, the following issues are observed:
A black screen is displayed for a few seconds during the system reboot.
DP audio stops responding, and a black screen is displayed when you play an audio file.
Limitations on the Wyse 5470 Thin Client
You must enable the DP audio as it is disabled by default.
HDMI, DisplayPort over USB Type-C port, and USB Type-C port audio is displayed as DP audio.
Hot plugging is not supported. You must plug in the HDMI cable, USB Type-C cable, or the DP cable, and reboot the thin
client for the DP audio to work.
Converter is not supported.
Supports only audio over the integrated HDMI port with selected displays.
DP audio works when you connect a single DP audio supported display to the thin client through the WD19 docking station. If
you connect two DP audio supported displays to the thin client through the WD19 docking station, DP audio does not work.
Turning off or turning on the display is not supported. Restart the thin client for the DP audio to work in the following
scenarios:
If the power button is pressed, to power off, and then power on the display.
If the screen saver is set to Turn Off Screen.
If you click Apply on the Display setup window.

You must enable the DP audio as it is disabled by default.
Hot plugging is not supported. You must plug in the DP cable, and reboot the thin client for the DP audio to work.
Converter is not supported.
Turning off or turning on the display is not supported. Restart the thin client for the DP audio to work in the following
scenarios:
If the power button is pressed, to power off, and then power on the display.
If the screen saver is set to Turn Off Screen.
If you click Apply on the Display setup window.
Using PulseAudio
PulseAudio is a sound server that runs on ThinOS to deliver audio and manage audio devices. PulseAudio supports multiple audio
devices when using real-time audio applications in ICA, RTME, and other VDI sessions.
NOTE: You cannot disable the PulseAudio feature on your ThinOS client.
Configuring the serial settings
To configure the Serial settings:
1. From the desktop menu, click System Setup, and then click Peripherals.
The Peripherals dialog box is displayed.
