General features
Dell Thin Client application
You can view general information about the thin client, system shortcuts, custom elds, RAM disk, auto logon, C-A-D map tool, and support
information.
NOTE
: By default, the RAM disk size is set to 512 MB.
Internet Explorer 11
Internet Explorer 11—IE 11 is the quickest version of the browser. Microsoft has included support for web standards such as CSS
animations, HTML5 spell checking, and improved JavaScript performance. The main security addition to IE 11 is the Enhanced Protected
Mode, which locks down parts of the Windows operating system. This feature prevents the browser from accessing the operating system.
C-A-D map tool
By default, the C-A-D map tool is disabled on the thin client. To enable the C-A-D map tool:
1 Log in to the system using administrator privileges.
2 Disable the write lter.
3 Launch the command prompt from the Run window in elevated mode.
4 Navigate to <drive C>\windows\system32.
5 Run the le DWKBFilterMon.exe from the command prompt.
6 Click Enable.
7 Restart the system.
