System Center Conguration Manager details
System Center Conguration Manager details are not displayed in Programs and Features and Dell Thin Client Application. But, the
Conguration Manager Control Panel Applet and SMS Agent Host Service details are displayed. This is because of the Microsoft design.
SMSCFG.ini, clientstate.dat, wedmtrace.log, Ccmstore.sdf, InventoryStore.sdf, StateMessageStore.sdf les, and Service Data folder are
included in the File Based Write Filter Exclusion list.
Citrix Receiver
USB redirection works for all users of the thin client with all published XenDesktops. This feature is independent of the Simplify device
connections for me settings in the XenDesktop connection preferences user interface.
ENERGY STAR specication
Windows Embedded Standard 7 meets the ENERGY STAR thin client requirements.
The following are the details in the Control Panel applet for power options:
• Supports Wake on LAN (WoL) during turn o.
• Supports Idle state wake up from the sleep mode.
• Screen o timer is 10 minutes.
• Sleep timer is 15 minutes.
Flash.sys
You can enable or disable hostname calculation in ash.sys le. The ash.sys le is located at <drive C>/Windows/system32/DriverStore/
FileRepository or at <drive C>/Windows/System32/drivers.
• Ensure that when you alter the MAC ID for a client, hostname calculation is not performed.
• If you change the MAC ID—NIC card change, you must perform a hostname calculation by changing your device name to
MINWITHNET.
