Removing the power-adapter port

Prerequisites

1. Remove the base cover.

2. Remove the battery (half-length) or the battery (full-length).

3. Remove the display assembly.

Procedure

1. Disconnect the power-adapter port cable from the system board.

2. Remove the screw (M2x3) that secures the power-adapter port to the palm-rest assembly.

3. Lift the power-adapter port along with its cable, off the palm-rest assembly.
