General instructions
Remove the appliance from the packaging. Make sure the
appliance and power cord have not been damaged during
transport. Do not turn the appliance on if damaged. Remove
all promotional material from the appliance.
Electrical connections
- Before plugging the appliance into the mains, make
sure the voltage of your mains supply corresponds to
the voltage (V) specied on the rating plate and that
the socket and power line are adequately dimensioned
for the power (W) indicated.
- If you use more than one appliance simultaneously,
make sure the mains supply is able to deliver the power
required.
Free standing, attaching the feet
Tools required:
PH2x100 screwdriver (cross-tip)
2 3.5x13 PH screws provided (G)
Position the appliance on a stable surface.
To mount the feet, proceed as follows:
- Insert the two hooks in the slits and rotate the foot until
it locks in place as shown in gure 1.
- Insert the two pins in the corresponding holes.
- Attach the foot with the screw (G) provided (gure 2).
- See gure 3 for the minimum distances of the appliance
from the walls.
Important! never use the appliance without the feet.
USE
Operation and use
Insert the plug into the socket and switch on at the socket if
necessary, turn the thermostat knob (B ) to position 6 and turn
the appliance on via the power selector ( C ) as follows:
• The warning lamp ( A ) lights up.
• Turn the power selector knob to Min to select minimum
power.
• Turn the power selector knob to Med to select medium
power.
• Turn the power selector knob to Max to select maximum
power.
• Turn the power selector dial to the Max position to
select high power with fan.
• To switch o the appliance completely: turn the power
selector to "0" and the thermostat to
,
then disconnect
at the power socket.
Adjusting the thermostat
When the room has reached the required temperature, turn
the thermostat dial (B) anticlockwise until you hear a click
and no further.
The thermostat will regulate the temperature automatically,
keeping it constant. In spring, autumn or on milder days, you
can save energy by using low power.
Freeze prevention
With the thermostat dial (B) in the position and one of
the power levels selected, the appliance maintains room
temperature at about 5°C, preventing freezing with minimal
energy consumption.
Fan
The appliance has a fan for faster and more even heating.
To start this function, turn the power selector (C) to Max
(when the thermostat is activated, the light A comes on).
Models with 24-hour timer
When the appliance is connected to the power supply the timer
is always active so as to stay synchronized with the local time.
To operate the appliance without timer, position the timer
slider (D ) to
.
To operate the appliance at the times set, position the timer
slider to
and proceed as follows:
• Check the time on your clock or watch. If it is 10.00 for
example, turn the numbered programmer disk until the
number 10 coincides with the pointer (F) marked on the
programmer device.
• Set the periods of time during which you want the
appliance to operate by pushing the teeth outwards. Each
tooth corresponds to a period of 30 min. At the end of the
procedure, the sectors corresponding to the periods of
operation will be visible.
• In this way, the appliance will function automatically
each day at the times set. (Important: the appliance must
always be connected to the power supply).
•
To modify the settings, push the teeth back to the
original position (teeth inwards) and programme the
new operating times.
• To turn the appliance o, turn the power selector to "0".
