PROBLEM
PROBABLE CAUSES
SOLUTION
The espresso coffee is cold.
•Wait until the “OK” pilot light is on.
• Carry out the preheating, as
described in the “Preheating the
appliance” section.
•Preheat the cups by rinsing them
with hot water.
The espresso coffee does not come
out.
• Lack of water in the tank.
• The holes in the filter holder spouts
are plugged.
• Fill the water tank. correctly and
rotate it as far as it will go;
• Clean the holes in the spouts.
The espresso coffee drips from the
edges of the filter holder, instead of
from the holes.
• The filter holder is not inserted
correctly.
• The gasket of the espresso hot water
generator has lost its elasticity.
• The holes in the filter holder spouts
are plugged.
• Attach the filter holder correctly and
rotate it as far as it will go.
• Have the gasket of the espresso hot
water generator replaced at a
Service Centre.
• Clean the holes in the spouts.
The pump is making too much noise.
• The water tank is empty. • Fill the tank.
The cream of the coffee is light in
colour (the coffee exits quickly from
the spout).
• The ground coffee is not pressed
enough.
• There is not enough ground coffee.
• The coffee is ground too thickly.
•Press the ground coffee more
strongly.
• Increase the quantity of coffee.
• Only use ground coffee for espresso
coffee makers.
The cream of the coffee is dark (the
coffee exits slowly from the spout).
• The ground coffee has been pressed
too tightly.
• There is too much ground coffee.
• The coffee is ground too finely.
•Press the coffee less.
• Decrease the quantity of ground
coffee used.
• Only use ground coffee for espresso
coffee machines.
The coffee has an acidic taste.
• The rinse after scale removal was
not sufficient.
• Rinse the appliance as described in
the “SCALE REMOVAL” section.
The milk does not froth when making
cappuccinos.
• The milk is not cold enough.
• The cappuccino nozzle is dirty.
•Always use milk at refrigerator
temperature.
• Clean the holes of the cappuccino
nozzle thoroughly.
• The “OK” pilot light is not on when
the coffee delivery sw
• The appliance has not been
preheated.
• The cups were not preheated.
