Pre p a r i n g f o r u s e ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS Before plugging the appliance into the mains socket, check that: • The outlet’s power supply corresponds to the value indicated on the rating label on the back of the appliance; • The outlet and electrical circuit are adequate for the appliance; • The outlet is a 3-hole grounded outlet . If this is not the case, you must choose another outlet. Failure to follow these important safety instructions absolves the manufacturer of all liability.

Operation TURNING THE APPLIANCE ON Plug into an outlet. Two lines appear on the display indicating that the appliance is in stand-by. Press the ON/STAND-BY button (A). When turned on, the air conditioner starts operating in the same mode as when it was turned off.
Operation FAN MODE Adjust fan speed by pressing the FAN button (C) as described for the air-conditioning mode. Remember that the higher the speed, the more air is filtered. If you select "MIN" speed, less air is filtered but the appliance is also less noisy. DEHUMIDIFYING MODE Ideal for reducing the humidity in a room without lowering or raising the temperature (spring or autumn, damp rooms, rainy spells, etc). When the dehumidifying mode is selected, the light (P) comes on.
Using the remote control unit (some models only) MODELS WITH REMOTE CONTROL • Point the remote control at the receiver on the air conditioner. The remote control must be no more than 16,4 ft (5 metres) away from the appliance (without obstacles between the remote control and the receiver). • The remote control must be handled with extreme care. Do not drop it or expose it to direct sunlight or sources of heat.
Tips To get the best from your air conditioner, follow these recommendations: • close the windows and doors in the room to be air conditioned. The only exception is when the appliance is installed through a hole in the wall. In this case, you are recommended to leave a slight draught through a door or window to guarantee correct ventilation. • Never use the appliance in very damp rooms (laundries for example). • Never use the appliance outdoors.
Cleaning Before cleaning or maintenance, turn the appliance off by pressing the ON/OFF button (A) or in models with remote control unit, by pressing the ON/OFF button 22 , then always unplug the appliance from the mains socket. cap from the drain hose on the back of the appliance and allow the water to drain out into a basin (figure O). Fonctionnement MISE EN MARCHE DE L’APPAREIL Branchez l’appareil. Deux lignes sur l’afficheur indiquent que l’appareil est en veille (stand-by). Appuyez sur la touche ON/ STAND-BY (A). Au démarrage, le climatiseur part de la dernière fonction programmée avant l’arrêt.
Fonctionnement FONCTION VENTILATION Réglez la vitesse de ventilation en appuyant sur la touche (C), comme pour la fonction climatisation. Considérez que plus la vitesse est grande, plus la quantité d’air filtré augmente. Si, en revanche, vous sélectionnez la vitesse “MIN” l’air filtré diminuera, le bruit aussi. FONCTION DÉSHUMIDIFICATION Idéale pour réduire l’humidité ambiante tout en évitant les chutes et les hausses de température (saisons intermédiaires, lieux humides, périodes de pluie, etc.
Fonctionnement avec télécommande (seulement certains modèles) MODÈLES AVEC TÉLÉCOMMANDE • Dirigez la télécommande vers le récepteur du climatiseur. La distance maximale entre la télécommande et l’appareil est de 16,4 ft (5 mètres) (sans aucun obstacle entre la télécommande et le récepteur). • Maniez la télécommande très doucement: évitez de la faire tomber, de l’exposer aux rayons directs du soleil ou autres sources de chaleur.
Conseils Voici quelques conseils pratiques pour obtenir un rendement optimal de votre climatiseur: • Fermez toutes les portes et les fenêtres de la pièce à climatiser, sauf dans le cas d’une installation à travers un trou percé dans le mur. • N’utilisez pas l’appareil dans des endroits très humides (buanderie) • N’utilisez pas l’appareil à l’extérieur. Dans ce cas, il est conseillé de laisser une porte ou une fenêtre entrebâillée afin de garantir un bon renouvellement de l'air dans la pièce.
Nettoyage Avant toute opération de nettoyage ou d'entretien, arrêtez l’appareil en appuyant sur la touche ON/OFF (A) et, pour les modèles avec télécommande, sur le bouton ON/OFF 22 , et débranchez toujours l’appareil. NETTOYAGE DE LA CARROSSERIE Nous vous conseillons de nettoyer l'appareil avec un simple chiffon humide et de l’essuyer avec un chiffon sec. Pour des raisons de sécurité, ne nettoyez jamais le climatiseur avec de l’eau.
