To reduce the risk of serious injury,
The riving knife must be installed for every through cut and for every non-through cut unless the riving knife would interfere
with the cut.
The riving knife provided with the table saw shall be thicker than the body of the matching saw blades provided with the table
saw but thinner than the kerf width of that saw blades.
Always use a blade with the correct thickness to match the riving knife. (0.10” (2.6mm) min. kerf width and 0.073” (1.85mm)
max body thickness).
The riving knife must be securely positioned in the “up” or “through cut” position when using the antikickback pawls and blade
guard.
Make sure the riving knife is properly aligned to the blade. (See Riving Knife Position and Alignment, Page 42).
INSERT THROAT PLATE
Refer to Figure 16.
Place the throat plate (O) in place with the wear plate on the rear.
Engage the rear tab on the throat plate under the table and press the front end down until the front tab snaps into place on the
table. To remove throat plate, lower blade below tabletop, then carefully slide the throat plate from out from the rear of the table to
the front, keeping the blade centered within the slot on the throat plate.
