01 Introduction We congratulate you on your new chocolate melting pot / fondue and are convinced that you will be satisÞed with this state-ofthe-art appliance. The appliance complies with the relevant safety regulations.
Safety instructions 02 Please read carefully through the following information and keep these operating instructions, in case you need to refer to them later. Designated use • The melting pot is for the purpose of melting chocolate in quantities that generally occur in private households. It is not suitable for commercial use, e.g. in restaurants or in other catering establishments. • Mixed chocolates (pralines, nut Þllings or similar) are not suitable for melting.
• The appliance must not be exposed to dripping or spray water. • The melting pot and mains plug must not be immersed in water or other liquids. Electrical shock hazard! Therefore, also do not use the appliance in the vicinity of moisture sources, e.g. a sink. • Do not operate the appliance outdoors. • Only connect the appliance to a properly installed socket, with voltage corresponding to the Technical data.
In order to avoid burns, do not touch the pot and heater with bare hands during use. Only touch the pot on the handle. • Do not leave the appliance unattended during use, if it is heating up or still cooling down. Injury hazards from other causes • For hygiene reasons, do not reheat leftover chocolate. • Do not allow the power cable to hang over the edge of the table top or work surface. • Lay the power cable so that it does not become a trip hazard.

Prior to initial use 04 The melting pot and mains plug must not be immersed in water or other liquids. Electrical shock hazard! The melting pot becomes hot during use. Do not touch it and allow it to cool off completely prior to moving, cleaning or putting it away. Do not leave the appliance unattended during use, if it is heating up or still cooling down. Use heat-resistance plastic or wooden utensils for stirring the chocolate. Unpacking • Remove the appliance and accessories from the box.
Operation 05 Inform all other persons also using the appliance about the strong heat development. Do not leave the appliance unattended during operation. In the underside of the heater, there are holders for winding up the power cord during storage. Prior to operation, the power cable must be completely unwound! Prepare the chocolate by grating large pieces or chopping it with a knife. • Place the heater (3) on a heat-resistance and non-slip surface near a mains socket (observer safety instructions).
• You can pour the melted chocolate into the praline moulds (5) and scrape of the excess chocolate with the scraper (7).You can distribute the chocolate better by lightly tapping the praline mould. • Use the wooden skewers (8) for picking up pieces of fruit and dipping them into the melted chocolate. • Place the fruit skewers on the drip rack (6) until the chocolate coating has hardened. After use • Turn ON/OFF switch (2) to position O – Operating control lamp (1) is off.

Please retain the sales receipt as proof of purchase as without it the warranty claim cannot be processed. During the warranty period, the sales receipt and the completed warranty card with a description of the fault must be returned once you have contacted the service centre by phone.
