Setting the AUX functions / GPS (optional)
The AUX function is used to control auxiliary built-in equipment like putting the GPS receiv-
er on and off.
Using GPS (optional)
The GPS receiver is mounted inside the instrument, drawing its power from the internal bat-
tery. The GPS system is used to supply position data (latitude and longitude) to the log to-
gether with the measurement data.
If activated a GPS icon is shown in the upper icon row (see picture pg. 15). The icon will display
the quality (reliability) of the GPS signal.
Below is an explanation of the GPS icon states.
GOOD: The GPS HDOP (Horizontal Dilution Of Precision) value is below 5.
FAIR: The GPS HDOP value is larger than 5, but the GPS can FIX.
NO: The GPS cannot FIX (weak or no signal).
