younotedearlier.

rspectrumanalyzer.Assumingyourtesttonelevelis‐62,6dBmasinthisexampleyourspectrum
analyzermayshow‐58,2dBm.CalculatingthenetgainbetweentheRUandtheBIUwillthenyield‐58,2‐‐62,5=4,3
dB.SubtractthecouplerbetweentheBIUandtheradiobasestationwhichinthisex
amplewas15dBandweget‐
19,3dBasournetgain.
Wewanted‐10dBsoweha
ve9,3dBtoolowgain.Weshouldthenincreasethegainandthebestplacetodothis
wouldbeintheremoteunitbysettingthegainat35+9,3=44,3whichwewillroundto44dB.
