The CoZmonitor® module doesn’t t securely
against my pump.
• Makesureyouareusingthebatterycapthatwas
supplied with the CoZmonitor® module rather
than the one originally supplied with your pump.
e battery cap supplied with the module is
slightly longer than the standard battery cap, so
that it holds the module against the pump and still
holds the battery in place.
Warning: Make sure that the battery cap is fully
tightened to avoid an interruption in battery
power which can cause the pump to power
down and stop the delivery of insulin. A pro-
longed interruption in the delivery of insulin
can result in serious patient injury or death.
I get a dierent reading when I test using my
CoZmonitor® module than when I use my
FreeStyle® Flash® meter?
• Uptoa20%variationbetweenconsecutivetestsis
considered acceptable and accurate according to
industry standards for home glucose monitoring.
• Verifyyourtestsiteiscleanandfreeoflotionsor
creams before testing.
• Nomorethan15minutesshouldlapsebetween
tests that are being compared. Do not eat any food,
drink anything besides water or participate in any
physical activity between the tests.
• Alwaysstoreyourteststripsaccordingtothe
manufacturer’s instructions.
• SeetheTroubleshootinginformationinthe
Instructions for Use provided with the module and
meter.
I notice a dierence in my blood glucose test
results when I test on my forearm from the result I
get when I test on my ngertip.
• eresultoftestsdoneonthengerorpalmat
the base of the thumb will show rapid changes to
the blood glucose sooner than tests performed on
alternate sites. If you are testing for hypoglycemia
(low blood glucose) or you have hypoglycemia
unawareness, you should always test on the tip of
the nger or palm at the base of the thumb.
• Eatinganyfoodordrinkinganybeverageother
than water between tests can aect the results.
If I am not using the CoZmonitor® module is there
any way to enter a blood glucose reading into the
pump?
• Yes.Youcanenterabloodglucosereadingfrom
the Blood Glucose home screen.

screen, then see page 194 for entering a blood glu-
cose value.
I entered a blood glucose result but that reading is
not showing up in the Logbook report in the
CoZmanager® 2.0 software.
• Iftheresultwasmarkedasa“control”sample,it
will not be entered into the Logbook report.
