HONDA Pumps l
The Pro’s Choice” 105
HONDA offers excellent high pressure pumps in several
sizes and capacities. They also have volume pumps.
Impress your fire inspector with a pump that actually
starts.
What is the best type of pump?
HONDA offers several types of pumps: high pressure
pumps, standard pumps, deluxe pumps, and trash
pumps. Below is some general pump information.
Pressure pumps do not produce as much volume as
volume pumps with the same size motor. Most fire
pumps are pressure pumps because the water usually
has to flow through a hose and shoot into a fire. If you
are planning to buy a fire pump, check the regulations
in your area for pump specifications. We'll help you
find a pump that meets those specs.
• Volume pumps can move the most water, but they
operate at lower pressure. They are not able to pump
water through long hoses or shoot water through small
nozzles. Volume pumps are made for moving maxi-
mum quantities of water and are best for pumping out
a basement, a swimming pool, or seepage on a con-
struction site. Volume pumps can also be used for
moving liquids other than water. Call for more infor-
mation.
What about fire hoses?
We stock all the fittings, connections,
nozzle, fire hose, and pickup hose to turn a
HONDA pump into a fire pump.

Please read the owner’s manual before operating your
Honda Power Equipment. Connection of a generator
to house power requires a transfer device to avoid
possible injury to power company personnel. Consult
a qualified electrician.
