SILVEY's family of round grinders has models
for nearly every round chain sharpening appli-
cation. Whether you are grinding chain for
chain saws, .063 or .080 harvesters, or the large
3/4 pitch pond and deck chain, there is a model
for you. The best part is they are all built to the
same quality standards you've come to expect
from SIlVEY.
The SILVEY 510 is capable of sharpening all
types of round saw chain in pitches 1/4”, .325”,
3/8”, and .404”. It is the most versatile of all the
round grinders. It can even sharpen .063” gauge
harvester chain. A kit is available to adapt the
SILVEY 510 to grind .080” gauge harvester chain
which includes an additional vise that accepts
the thicker .080" chain.
The SILVEY 510-080 is similar to the 510 but is
set up for grinding .080" gauge harvester chain
only.
The SILVEY P & D is built for grinding 3/4”
pitch (OREGON #11BC & #11H) pond and deck
saw chain. Although this chain was developed
for machinery used around mill ponds, it has
recently become popular on some harvesters.
The P & D is similar to the 510 but has a larger
vise, indexing mechanism, wheel dresser, and
special grinding wheel.
