[2] Delay time (distance setting)
• Input the distances from the listening positien and the various speakers to set the surreund delay time.
• Upon shipment from the factery default the delay time is set te the default values in step 3 below.
Preparation:
Measure the distance from tile listening pesitien to the varieus speakers.

read step 1 and 2 en page 34.

At the system setting changing menu screen, use the -91and
I_ cursor buttens to select "DELAY TIME (Distance)", then
press the ENTER button.
Use the • and • curser buttons to select the speaker, then
use the -91and I_ cursor buttons te set the distance between
the speaker and the listening positien.
• The distance changes by 0.1 meters (or 1 feet when the
unit is set to feet) each time the -91and I_ curser butten is
pressed. Select the value closest to the measured distance.

• The delay time setting screen appears.

• The unit for the distance can be switched between "m"
(meters) and "ft" (feet) using the -91and I_ cursor buttens.
If you do net want te change the unit, press the • curser
butten to preceed to the next step.
At "Default Value", select "Yes" te set the delay times fer the
different speakers te the default values.
_,_Yes: The values are set to the defaults.
_DNe: The current settings are retained.
•_ Make sure the difference in the distances set fer the
varieus speakers is ne greater than 3.0 meters (10 feet).
If an inappropriate distance is set, "CAUTION: OUT OF
SETTING RANGE" is displayed. Change the position of the
speaker and make the setting ever.
Press the ENTER butten to enter the
settings. (_
