SURROUND PLAYBACK
• The Dolby Virtual Speaker mede is a mode using 3D sound technelogy frem Delby Laboratories te achieve multi-channel surround sound using
only two speakers for the front channels.
• With two speakers fer the front channels, ene of twe medes can be selected: Reference or Wide.
• The Dolby Virtual Speaker mede can be used not only with Dolby Digital and DTS multi-channel sources but also with 2-channel sources. With
2-channel seurces, one of twe 2-channel modes can be selected: Virtual 1 (Dolby Pro Logic II Cinema) and Virtual 2 (Dolby Pre Logic).

playback discs)

Set the surround mode to "DOLBY VIRTUAL SPEAKER".

Select the digital input function (DVD er LINEN or D.AUX
digital input).

• The Dolby Digital indicater lights LrlrlDIGITAL. s- Lit
when playing Delby Digital
seurces.
• The DTS indicator lights when IDTS-.-'" Lit
playing DTS seurces.
._ This switches automatically accerding to the format ef the
playback seurce.
Display the surreund parameters for that seurce.
•_ When the functien is set to DVD, this is displayed en the
screen as well.
