Example: Tuning in FM/AM statiens
Press the FUNCTION butten and select "TUNER".

Select "FM" or "AM".
• The selected "FM AUTO", "FM MONO" or "AM" is
displayed.
• When using the remete centrel, the mode butten is used to
select FM AUTO and MONO.

Adjust the receiving frequency.
• When a statien is received, the "TUNED" indication will
light.

NOTE:
A humming sound may be heard when using a TV nearby while
receiving AM pregrams. If this happens, move the system as far
from the TV as possible.
Auto tuning
• When ene ef the Tuning +/- button is pressed, the frequency
changes in steps of 0.2 MHz in the FM band, 10 kHz in the AM
band.
• If one of the Tuning +/- button is held fer over 1 second, the
frequency centinues to change when the button is released
(auto tuning) and stops when a station is tuned in.Tuning will not
stop at statiens whese receptien is peer.
• To stop the auto tuning function, press the Tuning +/- butten
once,
FM Stereo Reception
• When a program being broadcast in "FM AUTO" is received,
the "ST" indicator lights and the program is received in stereo.
• If receptien is poor and there is much noise in the steree signals,
press the BAND or MODE butten to set the FM MONO mode.
About the tuning mode and the preset mode
• The functien of the "-" and "+" buttons _/_ +/_,
on the main unit can be switched so that
they can be used for either tuning
(selecting the receptien frequency) or for
selecting preset stations.
The buttons are set to the tuning mede
upon shipment. The mode can be switched
to the preset mode by pressing the "+"
button while pressing in the BAND button.
(When this is dene, "PRESET" is flashes fer
approximately 5 seconds.)
