ON-SCREEN DISPLAY
The ADV-M51 is equipped with an on-screen display ("OSD") functien that displays various types ef information en the suueund fur_ctiens and
the disc on the screen when the functien is set to DVD.
11. Setup screen
This is used te select the speaker system being used (quick system setting) and to change the function of the ADV-M51 and various settings
when [)laving discs (system setting change and DVD setting change).
The setup screen can be used regardless of the currently set function.
12} Display of disc informatien
When the function is set to DVD, the OSD displays infermation en the disc and appears when various playback functions are operated.
13) Display of surround function
When the function is set to DVD, infermation on the surround amplifier is also displayed and can be operated.
The OSD fer the surround function (AV OSD) can be turned en and off.
(The OSD for the setup screen and DVD disc infermation cannot be set to "OFF".)
•_ Set to "ON" upon shipment from the factery.
With the functien set te DVD, press the STATUS button ef the
remete contrel for at bast 2 seconds.
Press in the MENU/SET button on the main unit, then press
the MENU/SET button again fer at least 2 seconds while
"STATUS" is displayed.
"AV OSD ON _1:1_ OFF" is displayed.

Turn the AV OSD en or off.

_ After several secends, the display turns off and the setting is
made.
NOTES:
Depending on the disc being played, the picture may be
disturbed when the OSD turns en. This is not a malfunction.
If this should happen, set the AV OSD te "OFF".
The OSD is alse eutput te the VCR vide<) output terminals.
Do not perform setup or OSD eperatk)ns while recording with a
video deck.
